Hong Kong Coliseum

The Hong Kong Coliseum is conveniently located in the Hung Hom District in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The coliseum was constructed by the Urban Council and was opened to the public on April 27, 1983. At present, it is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Service Department of the Government of Hong Kong.

The coliseum has a 12,500 seating capacity and is listed among as the world’s second largest indoor facility of its kind.

Constructed within the Hong Kong Coliseum is an arena that has concrete cement flooring with forty-one meters for each side. The arena is a perfect place for sports events like badminton, basketball, volleyball and ice skating.

Hong Kong Coliseum also offers television projection systems that are used during concerts and stage events. The coliseum also offers conference rooms that are both open and sheltered for conferences and conventions. It also has reception rooms that can hold as much as 60 persons and a piazza of an area of twenty-two thousand square meters that can hold exhibits and outdoor activities.
