Built In 1983, the beautiful panoramic views afforded by the Hot Springs Mountain Tower make it one of the main tourist attractions in Hot Springs Arkansas. This observation tower stands 65.8 meters tall and is composed of a lattice steel frame. Located on Hot Springs Mountain, the tower that stands today is the most recent of several construction projects built on the site over the past century. At the end of the nineteenth century a 75 foot tower was built, only to later be burned down after being struck with lightning. Later in the mid-twentieth century an even larger structure was built, measuring close to 175 feet, yet this was eventually demolished due to issues with structural stability.
