The Humphrey Metrodome, commonly called simply the Metrodome, is Minnesota’s premier sports arena. The home of both the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins (until recently), this rectangular-shaped field hosts football, baseball and basketball games throughout the year as well as several entertainment events.

The stadium opened in 1982 replacing two other arenas in the area. Though it had a tough time going at the beginning due to its somewhat awkward location, today it is surrounded by a thriving neighborhood.
