The hunting and amusement lodge favorite, or Schloss Favorite as it is called, positions itself in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Duke Eberhard Ludwig ordered the construction of Schloss Favorite in 1715.

Ludwig wanted the home for his mistress Wilhelmine von Graevenitz and for the home's other aspect, hunting. A wildlife park around the palace still exists today.

Donato Giuseppe Frisoni carried out the design of Schloss Favorite. The building is textbook baroque in style.

Schloss Favorite remains open for visitors from March 20th until November 1st at 3.50 per adult. Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00AM until 12:30 and 1:30-5:00PM, travelers can tour the palace's furnishings and rooms mostly from the Napoleonic era.

"There are already more than enough boring towns," Duke Eberhard Ludwig once said. With roaming wildlife and a brightly colored exterior, the palace proves Ludwig's goal of achieving a palace far from boring.
