Opened in 1969, Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium has currently expended into one of the widest collections of rare and regular animals. Comprising a large area of the zoo are Arabian Antelope and deer. An African Antelope variety such as eland, oryx, gazelles and lechwe can be observed in many tree-shaded paddocks of the zoo which are very conducive to breeding.

The large cathouse features pumas, tigers, lions, black and spotted leopard as well as gorgeous jaguars. A reptile hour, monkey compounds, gorilla compounds and aviaries are other Al Ain Zoo highlights.

Famous for its research facilities, the zoo is also popular for its ongoing breeding programs for native endangered animals. Hobbies and activities include an aquarium, aviary, bird museums, exhibits, zoo and animal collections.

Attractions include the Ain A Fada Resort Abu Dhabi, Al Ain National Museum Abu Dhabi, Central Public Gardens Al Ain, the Al Ain Mall Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium Abu Dhabi and the Hili Archaeological Gardens Abu Dhabi as well as Jabel Hafeet, which is a 1,340 meter mountain with great sunset views.
