XtraCold Amsterdam is a stylish, gorgeous and unique ice bar located in the heart of Amsterdam, the Rembrandt Square area, Netherlands. DITEMS Entertainment Group has opened the first ever Ice Bar in Holland and the coolest attraction in Amsterdam on September the 7th 2006.
The classy building is divided into two different types of venues complementing each other. The interior, entirely designed by the well known Dutch designer Jan des Bouvrie, illustrates the contrast between ‘hot’ and ‘cold’. Lunch is served in the XtraCold Lounge daily and great variety of finger food is available. A select wine and cocktail menu completes the experience.
In contrast with the XtraCold Lounge is the XtraCold Ice Bar with the theme ‘Some like it cold’. As the name already suggests, the walls, the bar and the seats are made out of ice and even the cocktail glasses are frozen. In order to enjoy a Smirnoff cocktail or a Heineken XtraCold beer in this unique atmosphere, a temperature of minus 8 degrees Celsius is maintained.
XtraCold Amsterdam is open 7 days a week. Friday and Saturday is open from 14:00 to 03:00 o’clock and, for the rest of the days, from14:00 till 00:00 o’clock. The entrance fee for the Ice Cafe is € 19, 50, but this includes a 30 minutes stay in the Ice Cafe and two drinks, either a Smirnoff cocktail or an Extra Cold Heineken beer in a glass of ice.
Xtracold Amsterdam can be reached quickly by public transport because there is a metro station, Waterlooplein station, nearby. By train, Amsterdam Central Station or Amsterdam Amstel Station can be reached from most stations in the Netherlands.
