Serving as home to the most famous attraction of the Tri Border Area, Iguazu Falls National Park is the access point for Iguazu Falls, the waterfall with the greatest average annual water flow of any in the world, with drops as tall as 270 feet in some places. The Falls themselves fall mostly on the Argentina side of the Argentina – Brazil border, although a good portion of the Falls do reside in Brazil. The Iguazu Falls are thought by many to be a sure bet for the New Seven Wonders of Nature list.

Especially notable at Iguazu Falls National Park is the Garganta del Diablo, or Devil’s Throat, portion of the Falls, which is the most impressive of the cataracts, and marks the Argentina – Brazil border. Devil’s Throat is 490 feet wide and 2,300 feet long, standing 270 feet tall, and is the most photographed portion of the falls. Photographers are able to capture points at the falls which include 260 degrees of waterfall.

Iguazu National Park is located on National Route 12 in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. The Park is open daily from 8:00 A.M. until 6 P.M., with admission ranging from 4 Pesos to 60 Pesos including discounts for residents of the three countries of the Tri Border Area, senior citizens, children, and the handicapped.
