The Imaginarium Science Discovery Center is an interactive learning facility, part of the Anchorage Museum, where people of all ages can learn about the fascinating world of science (and specifically how it relates to the natural environments of Alaska). Located in the center of Anchorage at 625 C Street, the center likes to describe itself as a "hands-on, minds-on" learning center.

The Imaginarium is divided into six distinct learning areas, each with a different purpose. There is the BP Kinetic Space which focuses on electricity, force and energy; the Planetarium Hall where observers will learn of the solar system and more; the TOTE KidSpace where exhibits have been specifically designed to be safe for children aged 5 and under; the Bubble Space where various kinds of bubbles help explain the phenomena of surface tension and reflection; the Thomas Planetarium where more night sky displays can be found; and finally the Earth and Life Science area, which really doesn't need much explanation as it's all right there in the name.

As of September 17, 2009, the Imaginarium's entrance fees are as follows: $8 for adults, $7 for students/seniors/military members with ID, and free of charge for minors (with a suggested donation of $2). Also as of the same date, the center's hours of operation are 10am-6pm during the winter and 9am-6pm during the summer.

In May of 2010, the Imaginarium will relocate to the Anchorage Museum's premises.

As it is situated in the center of Anchorage, there are a plethora of lodging options for visitors such as the Black Angus Inn and the Marriott of Anchorage.
