The Institute of Paper and Science Technology (IPST) is a world-class center for pulp and paper research at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Its main focus lies in the areas of new product platforms, process technology, sustainability and clonal forestry. While ISPT is primarily an educational and research institution, it also is home to the Robert C. Williams American Museum of Papermaking. Internationally recognized as the world’s most complete collection on the history of papermaking, the museum contains over 2,000 books and a collection of more than 10,000 watermarks, papers, tools, machines and manuscripts. The IPST store is also a great place to do some shopping.

The museum is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and visitors are encouraged to visit the institute’s website before visiting (ipst.gatech.edu) as well as check out local accommodations options.
