The International Gallery of Contemporary Art of Anchorage, Alaska, located at 427 D Street, is the only art gallery of its kind in the city of Anchorage. It started off as a tiny art gallery space next to the studio of a recognized artist in Anchorage (David Felker), but has grown into a significant exhibition space that attracts contemporary artists from all over the planet to show their work.

The International Gallery of Contemporary Art is privately owned and operated although it does (as of recently) receive funds from the municipality of Anchorage. The admission to the gallery is free of charge. The total space rounds off at approximately 2,000 square feet, in which various types of art are put on display (including installation art and performance art). As of 1989, the gallery has officially adopted a non-profit status.

The gallery offers up part of its space for rental to organizations that want to hold classes, workshops, lectures, club meetings, etc., and also helps businesses and organizations rent art work for their premises. It is constantly accepting proposals for future exhibitions.
