Jackson Amtrak Station was originally built by The Illinois Central Railroad in 1927 to help with service on their line. The station was restored during the early 2000s. The Jackson Amtrak Station is open daily from 10:15am until 5:45pm, with the ticket office, Quik-Trak, and baggage handling all operating under the same hours.
