Jako Arena

Jako Arena is a multi-purpose hall located in Bamberg, Germany. It is the third largest multi-purpose hall in Bavaria after Olympiahalle in Munich and Nuremberg Arena. The naming rights to the Hall were sold in March 2006 at JAKO (a team sports clothing manufacturer). In the course of marketing the naming rights in the same year started work to build the hall of 4750 (6850 concerts) to 6900 (over 9000 concerts) courses. For the six-million-euro conversion measure, the foyer of the hall was pulled 20 meters to the front in order to make room for a new north stand. During the renovation there were created several VIP boxes, the largest with an area of 600 square meters, holding 700 visitors. The hall is constructed in a shopping center with a large supermarket and several shops and restaurants. Facilities include several business lounges, jewelry shops, various restaurants and other features.

The Jako Arena Bamberg is the home of the Basketball Bundesliga Brose Baskets, as well as from the 2009/2010 season the first division volleyball VC francs. The arena has also hosted two boxing matches at the IBF World Championship during 2008. Beside sport events, the arena usually hosts fairs, concerts and other entertainment events. With around 150 events a year, the hall has more than 600,000 visitors.
