One of the oldest museums in Miami Beach, The Jewish Museum of Florida as been around since the 1930s. The museum's building is a popular attraction in and of itself, with an incredible copper dome, numerous stained glass windows, and a number of beautiful Art Deco touches. One of the largest synagogues in the city is right next to the hotel.

The museum's permanent exhibit, called Mosaic, is a comprehensive and exhaustive attempt at documenting Jewish life in Florida since the 1700s. Mosaic is a collection of over 500 different photographs and artifacts that do their best to paint a picture of what life was like for Jewish residents of Florida. Other exhibits are also displayed each year, depending on the museum's schedule.

The construction of both the museum and the Miami Beach synagogue were huge steps forward for the Jewish community, who had previously been denied permission to build a synagogue over and over again.

The Jewish Museum of Florida is open from ten until five, Tuesday trough Sunday. The museum is closed on all Jewish holidays, as well as civil holidays, and on Mondays.
