The Jiujiang Lushan Airport is the main airport of Jiujiang city, formerly known as Kiukiang. The city is at a prefecture-level and it is located bordering the southern shores of the Yangtze River, close to the Jiangxi Province. The airport is located in the Lushan District, the area where the airport got its name.

Jiujiang is known as the second largest city in Jiangxi province, and the district where the Jiujiang Lushan Airport is located has been a foreign tourist attraction for quite some time already. One of its main attractions is the location of the town as well as Mount Lushan.
