The John A. Wilson Building, aka the Wilson Building is located in downtown Washington DC. It houses the offices of the Council and mayor of the District of Columbia. The building was constructed between the years of 1904-1908. It was the site of the historic 1977 Hanafi Muslim Siege. The building was named after John A. Wilson who was chair of the DC Council. Within the building are displayed a diverse array of artworks by local and international artists.
