The John May Museum Center is located a few miles south of Colorado Springs, Colorado, along route highway 115 at 710 Rock Creek Canyon Road. The John May Museum Center itself houses two distinct museums: the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Space Exploration.

The May Natural History Museum of the Tropics has one of the most incredible collections of giant insects and rare artifacts in the world. The May brothers (James and Ted) developed their collections during the 1920s and beyond, and in the 1940s they permanently set up shop in Colorado Springs. The museum is open during the months of May to October, and admission will cost visitors $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for children.

The John May Space Museum displays hundreds of photographs and a collection of official NASA movies that synthesize the formidable US space program from its beginnings all the way through to the present. Museum operations follow the same calendar as the natural history museum, and admission fees are the same as well.
