The Jones AT&T Stadium, located on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas is home to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The outdoor football stadium first opened in 1947—back then it was known as the Clifford B. and Audrey Jones Stadium. The name changed in 2006. Originally, the stadium could seat 27,000; however, several expansions and renovations in 2003 and 2006 have expanded its capacity significantly; today, the field can hold 53,000 people. Additionally, there’s a press box with luxury suites, club seating and special decks for television cameras and crews. On site, there are 2,000 parking spots. The nearest airport is Preston Smith International. Tickets for games and other events can be purchased via telephone or at the box office.
