Junkersdorf is a neighborhood in the left bank of the west of Köln, Germany. Junkersdorf is bordered to the east by the Müngersdorf and Lindenthal districts, to the south by the federal 264th, to the west Federal Highway 1 is located along with the Fontanestraße and the town of Weiden. In the northern part of the highway runs Junkersdorf 55th. Junkersdorf district includes Marsdorf and Horbeller. Both towns have a small population.
The name Junkers village was first mentioned in 962, when the archbishop of Cologne, Bruno Damenstift of the St. Cecilia arrived at Cologne. After 1815, Junkersdorf belonged to the municipality Lövenich, district of Cologne. At the end of the 1920s, aristocratic family homes were built in Junkersdorf and in 1975 Junkersdorf was amalgamated with the city of Cologne.
Catholic Church of St. Pancras, Ev Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Kirche are only two of the many important landmarks in Junkersdorf. A small burial ground of similar time, which is known as the Cologne-Müngersdorf, is only about 1 km to the east. There are three active clubs in Junkersdorf: Large Junkersdorferstraße carnival society of 1973 eV, Maigesellschaft Junkersdorf eV, and SKG Junkersdorf e. V. Sports bowling. These three associations have formed the village community Junkersdorf. RTL's headquarters is located in Junkersdorf. Marsdorf belongs to a large-scale industrial estate where, inter alia, the motorsport department and the Formula 1 racing team of car manufacturer Toyota are located. Two of the highways in Western Junkersdorf, A 1 and A-4, intersect at the motorway junction Köln-West. Tram line number 1 runs to the north of the Junkersdorf 55 highway, and through the south, the B 264 (Dürener Street). South of the town there lies a freight rail line that comes to the west of Frechen.
