Kaleidoscope Kansas City was founded back in the 1960s by a man named Don Hall, of Hallmark greeting cards. It’s a place that ‘celebrates the spirit and wonder of creativity’. Kaleidoscope gives children a space to let their imaginations run wild; the place outfits young ones with the tools of creativity, i.e. crayons, ribbons, glue, watercolor paints, stars and stickers, markers and lots of other stuff. Family art sessions for children of all ages and their parents are held frequently; these sessions last 40 minutes and reservations must be made for groups of 20 or larger. Independent art sessions are offered for children ages 5-12; reservations are required during the school year. The center is free for everyone.
