Karlstad Airport (KSD) is a small Swedish airport that offers flights to Stockholm and Copenhagen. It is 16km from Karlstad City which is best known for its depth in culture and passion in ice hockey.

KSD lacks hotels and other accodmodations, but has a number of options in getting someone to Karlstad City if they need to stay for a longer period of time. This is very common for those that are fans of the national hockey team, Färjestads BK. This was very much the case when they became the 2009 Swedish Champions and also in 2010 when Karlstad City will be home to the 2010 Men’s World Inline Hockey Champiionships.

KSD may be a small airport, but the routes it does offer in conjunction with what the nearby city offers makes this an airport that can be an ideal layover for those that are needing to travel throughout Scandianavia or from the Baltic States.
