Karum Business and Shopping Center is a famous shopping center located on Iran Road No21 Kavaklidere, in Ankara, Turkey.
Its project was planned at the same time with that of Sheraton Hotels and Towers in 1986 by Koray-Kavala Investor Group. It was inaugurated after five years of hard work, in the October of 1991 with the motto "A NEW CENTER IN ANKARA". It was designed by Von Gerkan, Marg and Partners and built by Koray Construction Industry Inc.
The building has nine floors, all displayed on a total area of 62.000 m² together with a parking area. It houses a lobby and rentable shopping and office spaces. There are four main entrances in the building.
The shopping center provides two parking areas known as B1 and B2 with displaying 200 cars seats; they serve the residents of the centre. Apart from the B1 and B2 parking areas, there is a park of 700 cars arranged on four floors in service 24 hours a day. The closest airport in the area is Esenboga Airport, only 27.7 km far from the afore mentioned location. The American Embassy is also located nearby and so is the grand Turkish Parliament house. Other shopping centers in the neighborhood are Atakule Tower and Tunali Hilmi Caddesi.
