Kelley Point Park is a public park in Portland in the north of the city, close to the Washington state border. The Port of Portland owned the park until 1984, when the city took over the 100+ acre park that is dotted with lakes and countless trees. Bird watchers can find wrens, osprey and gulls by the waters. The Park is named after Hall Jackson Kelley, a New England native who obsessively promoted the Pacific Northwest in the mid-1800’s. Kelley tried to establish a city at the point where the Columbia River meets the Williamette. This spot is called Kelley Point.

Park hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily. The park is located at North Marine Drive and Lombard Street. There are restrooms available for persons with disabilities, picnic tables and a reservable picnic area in the park.
