The Kelso Multimodal Transportation Center serves the communities of Kelso and Longview, Washington. In addition to being the area’s Amtrak rail stop, the station also provides national and regional bus services, shuttle van, taxi and car rental service.

The station was originally built in the early 1900’s by the Northern Pacific Railway, functioning in active freight service, until the station became an Amtrak stop in 1981. Kelso Multimodal Transportation Center was refurbished in 1995 with a design inspired by and as an homage to its earlier days. A thirty foot clock tower was constructed which is now the highlight of the annual Kelso Christmas Celebration. Each year, the mayor lights the Christmas tree on the tower and Santa Claus makes a visit aboard an Amtrak train.

Kelso Multimodal Transportation Center is principally used as a station for Amtrak’s Cascades and Coast Starlight runs. The Cascades route goes from Vancouver, B.C to Eugene, OR and the Coast Starlight travels from Seattle, WA to Los Angeles, CA. Both routes have scheduled stops in Kelso.

Hotel accommodation options in Kelso include the Red Lion Hotel, Comfort Inn and the GuestHouse Inn & Suites.
