Since October 2, 1994 the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art has brought the joy of art and culture to Kansas City, Missouri. The museum’s expanding permanent collection was founded around the original gift from donors R. Crosby Kemper and wife Bebe Kemper, but now special exhibits and community outreach programs are features of the museum as well. The museum is comprised of three locations: The signature building near Country Club Plaza- with special exhibits and the permanent collection, it’s also the site of Café Sebastienne and the Museum Shop, Kemper East- featuring the Museum collection displayed in a landmark building, and Kemper at the Crossroads- the newest addition featuring special exhibits by new and exciting artists. Admission and parking are always free at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, and its hours are from 10am-4pm Tuesday to Thursday, from 10am-9pm Fridays and Saturdays, and 11am-5pm Sundays.
