Kerry Outdoor Leisure is an Eclipse Equestrian and Adventure Centre located between Kenmare and Killarney, Kerry County, Ireland. It’s a country establishment with stables, clock tower and cobbled pathways, which on approach creates a timeless image and the feeling of finally coming home.
There are 5 properties, superbly equipped holiday homes, within a 90 acre estate. The houses are set in a traditional courtyard vernacular design with extensive landscaping that excludes the presence of vehicles (apart from one property with disability access).
Related products and services include archery, cycling, equestrian, woodland walks, riverside and garden walks, Pony Camps and spa (plus sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi).. Home-grown organic vegetables and free-range eggs are also available.
Kerry Outdoor Leisure offers an on-site activity centre including horse-riding, cycling, orienteering and children’s treasure hunts, high and low ropes course, as well as daily trips, where transport can be provided.
The local attractions can include Crag Cave, Muckross house, Transport Museum, Killarney Woollen Mills, Ross Castle, Bog Village Museum, Kate Kearney’s Cottage, Model Railway, Kennedy’s Pet farm and the spectacular scenic areas such as Gap of Dunloe, Killarney Lakes and waterfalls at Gleninchaquin and Torc Falls.
To get to the equestrian centre drive on Dromore Cottages road N70 and, at Derreenafoyle, take a right turn on Old Dromore road. The establishment is on the right side of the road.
Accommodation is provided by 5 beautiful houses. Each house can accommodate between 5 and 8 people depending on its type. Custom built, each residence is designed to exceed the needs of the modern family and is furnished with all the conveniences of modern life. One of the houses has a downstairs single bedroom and a roll in shower adapted for wheelchair use.
