Kesteren station in the Netherlands was thrown open for public use in 1882. The services are provided by a company called Cyntus.
The station was a built in order to reach Amsterdam faster by making a terminus of the line from Amersfoort. There are several places that Kesteren station connects to which includes Tiel, Elst, Amhem. There are two train types that are operational from the Kesteren station. They are the Syntus and Stoptrein. Both of these have a frequency of one train per hour and this is increased to two per rush hour. The train station is a wonderfully designed old architectural building. If you like colonial and old world buildings than the Kesteren station is a must visit.
The station is absolutely safe as there are not many tourists around except during the tourist season. There are several places of tourist interest out here such as amusement parks, golf courses and museums and art galleries. Once you are at the Kesteren station most of these are at a walking distance. You can easily get buses or taxis to take you around.
The Kesteren station is one such fantastic sight in the city of Heelsum. There are plenty of hotels situated around the station. The train needs to chug through the beautiful woods of Rhenen to get to the station. Tourists love the view that it enables to have of this beautiful place.
