Serving as the sole public aquarium in the community of Key West, Florida, the Key West Aquarium is located at 1 Whitehead Street, right alongside the Shipwreck Museum. The aquarium was the doing of the Works Project Administration, the Depression-era government administration that spurred development across the country and which helped convert Key West into a thriving tourist destination.

The Key West Aquarium features many of the fascinating sea creatures that call this area of the Caribbean waters home. There are daily shark feeding sessions that coincide with guided tours of the aquarium, which are scheduled daily at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 4:30pm.
