The Killarney Riding Stables are situated near Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland.
The Stables, known locally as "O'Sullivan's", were established in 1968 by Donie O'Sullivan and is still very much a family business with Donies wife Noreen, their two daughters Lorraine and Aoife, and son William all involved. The complex is home to 70 horses who have been pampered even more than usual with the recent completion of new stabling constructed to the very highest standards.
The trail ride covers a variety of terrain: country lanes, forests, mountain tracks, bogs and some of the beaches at Waterville and on the magnificent 6.4km (4 miles) stretch of golden sand at Rossbeigh.
The outstanding landscape is what draws the huge crowds to Killarney and the mountains and lakes that cradle the racecourse make it arguably the most beautiful in the country. Local attractions include the Killegy Church, Muckross House and gardens, the Killarney National Park and Ross Castle.
Killarney Riding Stables is located just 1 mile from the heart of Killarney town on the 'Ring of Kerry' Road towards Killorglin and adjacent to the Killarney National Park. The stables are on the right side of the road, where a large stone entrance to a Red Brick Stable Building clearly signposted 'Killarney Riding Stables'.
High level accommodation is provided by self catering houses with 5 en-suite bedrooms, each house having its own sauna, steam room, DVD, Jacuzzi bath and on site riding stables. The houses are within walking distance of Killarney town centre, being ideal for large groups of adults or 2 families.
