The Kimble Art Museum is a home to a vast array of international collections ranging from rare antiquities to contemporary 20th century pieces. The museum is located in the Cultural District of Fort Worth, Texas. The building itself was designed by the American architect Louis I. Kahn and is considered one of the most outstanding architectural achievements of the modern era. The design has drawn attention for its innovative use of natural light continuous interior spaces.

Kimble Art Museum’s permanent collection is relatively small in size with a total of less than 350 pieces. However, the museum has chosen to dedicate its focus on quality more than quantity and features works from an incredible span of time, from 3000 B.C. to the mid-20th century and pieces representing artists from all corners of the globe: Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas.

The museum is open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from noon to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Kimble Art Museum is closed Mondays, New Year’s Day, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
