King Khaled International Airport (RUH) is an international airport that serves the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is located 35 kilometers north of Riyadh and is designed by the HOK architectural firm. The most famous structure found in the airport and making it completely unique is the presence of the KKIA Mosque.

The KKIA Mosque is one of the most distinct landmarks found in the airport. It can accommodate 5,000 worshipers inside the building and another 5,000 outside the building. It is the first sit visitors see as they leave the arrival area. Aside from the mosque, the King Khaled International Airport also includes terminals, a control tower, and two parallel runways. The King Khaled International Airport also serves as an alternative landing site for NASA’s Space Shuttle.

Travelers can drive to the airport using the major roads like King Fahd Road, Al-Takhassousi Toad and the East Interstate Highway. The airport is accessible via ground transportation such as cars for hire or taxis.
