Kleinrivier Cheese and Wine Farm is a popular landmark and tourist destination located in Klein River Valley, Stanford, South Africa. It is located around 30 kilometers from Hermanus and 7 kilometers from the heart of Stanford. Operating for over 9 years, the cheese farm began when owners Riaan and Shelley Lourens used surplus milk to create cheese – first on a small scale but later turned large scale when they saw the demand for high-quality cheese in South Africa.

Over the years, the farm grew; it also garnered numerous local as well as international awards and recognition for their products, especially the Gruyere-type cheese.

The shop in Kleinrivier Cheese and Wine Farm opens from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on public holidays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aside from the shop, the farm also has playgrounds for the children, picnic areas, and a lodge – The Cottage – for those who want to spend the night. The cottage can only accommodate six people where no pets are allowed.
