The Kodak Theatre, located at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California, has been the permanent home of the Oscars ceremony of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences since 2002-2003, being the first such venue of its sort (previously, the ceremony drifted from one venue to another on an almost yearly basis). The Kodak Theatre is owned by CIM Group and has a seating capacity of about 3,400 spectators.

The venue is used for a wide variety of other purposes during the rest of the year, such as music performances, other rewards shows, competitions, and stage performances of various kinds. There are guided tours of the Kodak Theatre available for visitors, which are given from 10:30am-4pm between June and August, and from 10:30am-2:30pm the rest of the year.
