König Pilsener Arena is a multipurpose hall in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The arena was on 8 Opened in September 1996, after a construction period of 14 months at a cost of 45 million euro. The König-Pilsener-Arena, as it is now known as the sponsorship of the King Brewery Pilsner, can hold up to 13,000 people. The 10,000 seats are installed on two levels. Depending on the request of the organizer, the stage can be realized as Center Stage, which allows the maximum capacity of 12,000. Moreover, there are two theater configurations that are designed for 3,000 and 5,200 people.

More than 800,000 visitors attend over 100 events a year in the arena. From 1997/98 to 2001/02, the ice hockey team in the area Lions played their home games at the Oberhausen Arena Oberhausen. The range of events varies from music concerts to sports events. Among other things, there were performances from Böhse Onkelz, Silver Moon, Kylie Minogue, James Blunt, Kiss, Lionel Richie, Depeche Mode, Paul McCartney, Elton John, David Copperfield, The Who, Rod Stewart, Britney Spears, Tokio Hotel, No Angels, REM, Herbert Grönemeyer, Joe Cocker, Pink, but especially the star tenors Plácido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli's concerts in the arena. SMG Entertainment a 100-percent owned by SMG, the U.S. company based in Philadelphia, the world's largest providers of privately operated venues manages the hall.

TRYP Centro Oberhausen is a three star hotel that lies directly opposite the Centro in Oberhausen, the largest leisure and shopping centre in Europe, and is easily accessed via tram and bus services and major motorways. It provides 210 great rooms at prices starting from 45 euro.
