Located in Delaware Park in Buffalo, New York, the Albright-Knox Gallery is a premier venue of modern and contemporary art. Its parent organization, the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy, was founded in 1862 and is one of the oldest public arts institutions in the United States. The construction of the gallery itself commenced in 1890 but was not finished until 1905. Further additions were made in 1962.

The collection of art found within the gallery includes several permanent pieces from various movements, including Impressionism, Surrealism, and Pop Art. Jackson Pollock, Vincent Van Gogh and Henri Matisse are only a few of the many artists featured. Special exhibitions are also featured.

The gallery is open Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p .m. and on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Within the gallery are a gift shop, library and restaurant. Admission fees are $12 for adults, $8 for students and senior citizens, and free for members and children. Admission is free on Fridays from 3:00 to 10.00 p.m. Special group rates are also available.
