There are a lot of popular areas in Singapore that attract a lot of tourists yearly. One of these areas is known as the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple, which is located along Waterloo Street. It is one of the most popular places of worship for locals who look to Kuan Yin or Guan Yin. Although it is generally a place of worship, this has not stopped tourists to take a look at the place and even take pictures as souvenirs.

The altars of Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple are heaped with hundreds upon hundreds of small statues of gods based from the Chinese pantheon. It more or less transports you into the world of Chinese mythology. Among these huge numbers, the Singaporeans have shown a particular devotion for Kwan Im, which may be seen as the reason for the name of the temple.

Although the temple underwent some alterations over the past few years, it was demolished and rebuilt all over again. With the reconstruction, the size of the temple grew twice in size, managing to occupy more devotees every year.
