La SIP is a great club located in Geneva, Switzerland. The club, that we love to criticize but to which we love to go to anyway, is said to be the trendiest club of Geneva.
The first test is to get in. The free entrance is upside. Free but not always easy to get in because there are always at least 2 bouncers at the entrance to make the selection of the clients. Several rules are: Avoid sport shoes, large pants, be elegant and try to pretend to have money to spend (I know this is terribly annoying, but this is the price you have to pay), otherwise you’ll listen the perfect excuse “tonight is a private party, sorry but you cannot get in”.
Once inside, there is a nice bar lounge on the first floor and on the second one is the main dance floor. Inside people will find a nice atmosphere with pretty girls, but the drinks are quite expensive inside (starting at CHF 8.00).
There are lots of places to see around, such as Place du Bourg-de-Four (with magnificent specimens of 16th century architecture, as well as handsome constructions of the 17th and 18th.), Carouge (a small suburb of Geneva), The Pâquis Baths (a fine example of cosmopolitan Geneva), or Place de la Madeleine.
The best way to reach Geneva is by plane. In the last few years, Geneva has become a hub for the low-cost carrier Easy Jet serving a number of destinations in Europe. From the airport buses, taxis and rental cars are available.
