Lahore International Airport is the popular name is the second largest Allama Iqbal International Airport. Located in Lahore, Punjab Pakistan, the airport is named after philosopher and poet Allama Iqbal who made major contributions for Pakistan’s foundation.

The airport contains three terminals which include the Allama Iqbal terminal, the Hajj terminal and one cargo terminal. The Allama Iqbal International Airport is located a mere fifteen kilometers from the city center. This airport was also ranked by Singapore Airlines as the 2006 world’s leading airport.

Due to an air travel increase in the airport, the Civil Aviation Authority expanded the terminal of the airport in order to be able to meet future projected growths. Customs and immigration halls are also going to undergo extensive renovation for expansion purposes. Check in counter will be increased from twenty four current counters to forty eight counters. Immigration counters will be increased from ten current counters to twenty.

Domestic, International, Cargo and Charter flights are available from this airport. Included in charger flights are Askari Aviation, EuroAtlantic Airways, Sky Gate International Aviation, Royal Airlines and Schon Air. Destinations of charter flights include Islamabad, Lisbon, Amman and Karachi.
