Lahti Railway Station

Lahti Railway Station is located in Lahti, Finland. The railway station was opened in 1935. The station had undergone some structural changes in the year 2006 which moved some things here and there. The platforms, tunnel, station and tracks, all were renovated. The intention was to make the station more efficient and be able to serve passengers better. The station is near the cultural significant building called the stationmaster’s quarter.
The station connects Helsinki and Lahti directly and Lahti with Kuovola. The Helsinki connection got started in 2006 after the renovation. There is a restaurant at the station where passengers can eat to get away with their hunger. There is a waiting room for passengers and other services like cheap car hire are also available. The Lahti railway station is quite old in Finland but still it has been maintained very nicely. It is a rectangular building with two station floors. In 2007, the station was awarded the status of Tikkurila. Lahti Railways Station was also chosen by VR in the drive of 2007, on the basis of annual sales figures and customer feedback.
Lahti railway station is located at the center of the city which makes it very convenient for passengers to get there. There are several modes of transportation which can be used.
