Located in East San Jose close to Kelley Park and the Eastridge Mall, Lake Cunningham Park is a man-made lake that is the home to the state's largest skate park, as well as the Raging Waters theme park.

Those looking for a location to do some barbecuing and bicycling often head to the park for the afternoon, to take advantage of its BBQ pits and picnic area. At the other end of Lake Cunningham Park, there is the water park and the skate park, for those in need of something less tranquil.

Lake Cunningham Park also has a marina, and a space to rent kayaks and other boats. Fishing is permitted, as is boating.

Lake Cunningham Park is open daily, though the marina and the skate park and water park's hours different, and it is best to check with each individual attraction. There is ample parking, and a number of hotels are just a short drive away, including the Fairmont San Jose, the Hotel Montgomery, and the Best Western Lanai Garden Inn and Suites.
