Located a little under ten miles to the south of the city of Portland, Oregon, Lake Oswego is a city of some 35,000 residents located on the banks of the Clackamas river and Lake Oswego itself, which occupies a little over 400 acres and is surrounded by private property. Lake Oswego is a scenic and inviting community that attracts many tourists looking for attractions in the surroundings of Portland; the city has some 570 acres of park space, of which 24 are developed, as well as a public amphitheater, a public golf course, a swimming center, and several other sports facilities.
