Laugardalshöll

Laugardalshöll is an indoor sporting arena in Reykjavík, Iceland. The capacity of the arena is 5,500 people and it mostly hosts various sporting events such as handball games. Aside from sporting events, it also serves as the second largest concert location in Iceland after the indoor football stadium Egilshöll, hosting prominent acts from Iceland and around the world, from Led Zeppelin in 1970 and Muse 2003 to The Sugarcubes' 20th anniversary reunion in 2006.
Aside from sports and music events, it serves as a multi-purpose hall for all manner of events. The most important event to be held at Laugardalshöll is considered to be the World Chess Championship 1972, often dubbed the "Match of the Century", in which American challenger Bobby Fischer defeated the Russia champion Boris Spassky.
