Alexandrovsky Sad

Alexandrovsky Sad is a station on the Moscow Metro line network, located on Filyovskaya line, in Moscow, Russia. It was created by A. I. Gontskevich and S. Sulin and was opened on the 15th of May 1935, together with the first leg of the Moscow Metro.
The station opens for the entrance of passengers at 5:35. The first train leaves the station towards Kuntsevskaya at 5:44:10 and the last train at 1:03. The first "International" train leaves at 5:45 and the last at 1:05. Until recently, only one platform of the station was used, the second one worked - on a special schedule, that is: only during hours of peak loads. Now, both platforms are used constantly. The two exists of the station are Mokhovaya ulitsa and Borovitskaya ploshchad.
The station is located below the southern part of Via Vozdvizhenka, at the Palace of the Russian State Library. The station is located in the heart of Moscow near the Kremlin and Red Square. Close to Kremlin in the immediate vicinity of the station exits tourists will encounter other beautiful landmarks: Alexander's own garden, as well as the riding school and the grotto "ruins" in the Alexander Gardens, built by Osip Bove. Here one can find monuments of Great Patriotic War such as the tomb of the Unknown Soldier from the post honor guard. Also, close to the Manege Square there is the equestrian statue of Zhukov established in 1995.
