Aloha Tower is a soaring lighthouse located at Pier 9 on Honolulu Harbor and is one of the major tourist destinations and shopping centers on the island. Dating back to 1926, the Aloha Tower was the guide for incoming ships and was the tallest building in Hawaii for over 40 years.

In 1994, the Aloha Tower Marketplace made the area a hub for shopping and tourism, as well as a continuing commercial harbor. Visitors can dine at a number of restaurants, or shop at a number of casual and high-end boutiques and specialty shops, with jewelry, gadgets, toys and handmade souvenirs all available for purchase. In addition, many outdoor concerts are held at the marketplace.

Paid parking is available in the area, while public transportation is also present on the island, from bus and trolley service to public boats. Stores are open 9am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and close at 6pm on Sundays. Restaurants are open from 10am to 2am daily, but may vary for each establishment.
