Located at 408 Canal Street in the northwestern area of the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Alum Spring Park is a welcoming and fascinating green expanse in the middle of this historic, quaint Virginian city. The park's namesake is a natural spring located behind a large sandstone cliff which trickles water impregnated with alum, a chemical that includes many kinds of hydrated double salts.
