The American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum, located in Fort Worth, Texas, features a wide array of interactive displays, videos and hands-on exhibits. The museum is dedicated to C.R. Smith, the founder of American Airlines, and allows visitors to explore the operations and makings of an airline, both in modern times and in the beginning stages. American Airlines was formed when over eighty smaller airlines merged as one in 1930, calling themselves American Airways (the company name was changed to as its known today in 1934).

The museum is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located just southwest of Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Admission for adults is $4 and children aged 2 to 18 are just $2. Ask about becoming a Museum Member and getting free admission all-year round!
