Amman Civil Airport is military and public airport that serves Amman–Aqaba and several regional cities. It is located in Marka, East Amman, Jordan. It was once the hub of the national flag carrier, the Royal Jordanian Airlines, until the opening of the Queen Alia International Airport. Still, it is currently home to airlines Jordan Aviation, Royal Wings, and Arab Wings.

Although the airport only has one terminal, it is operational 24 hours a day and is used by many airlines for both domestic and international flights. Arab Wings, Royal Jordanian Airlines, and Sky Gate International Aviation have flights to and from Queen Alia International Airport, Amman; Malta Air Charter has flights to and from Aqaba, Marsa Alam, and Milan-Melpensa; and Royal Falcon has flights to and from Baku and Sharjah. Jordan International Air Cargo also has flights to and from Amman Civil Airport.

Tourists to Amman have the chance to visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and UNESCO World Heritage Sites – Petra. Visitors may also visit the historical site of Jesus’ baptism on the Jordan River.
