Amores Beach or Praia dos Amores, which translates to lover’s beach is so named because this is where couples go to find some privacy from the rest of the Buzios area. The beach is foregrounded by a strip of white sand, behind which lies a steep hill which cuts it off from the surrounding area. To get to the beach itself does require some hiking from the nearby Praia do Canto. However, it can also be reached via boat or water taxi. Praia dos Amores is relatively isolated, don’t expect any shops or boutiques. Bring your own supplies. Also, keep in mind that the beach is part of a protected natural reserve, so be prepared to clean up after yourself.
