or Agios Gordios accommodation? Agios Gordios is a secluded holiday resort located on the west coast of Corfu Island in Greece. The town is popular for its lovely beach which facilitates water sports such as swimming, sailing, and surfing, kayaking and snorkeling. A diving center is located on the beach well. With a variety of beach umbrellas available, sun bathing is also a favored pastime. The beach is mainly sandy with a few pebbly areas and is a nice family vacation area. The community itself is hidden among scented pine and lemon groves overlooking the ocean.
Two miles outside of the immediate beach area, lies the traditional village of Sinarades. Here you can explore a Folklore Museum, historic church, an ancient house and a well marked walking trail. You can also take a very short trip to Corfu’s impressive Aqualand water park with its numerous attractions including pools, a remarkable Jacuzzi and slides, bouncy castles, and an adventure playground. The Palladium Night Club provides wild adventures each night for young people while the cocktail bars along the beach are nice leisure spots. Most of the good restaurants are also concentrated around the beach area while shopping facilities can be found in the town. Most events occur in the form of parties at the various clubs during the high season while Easter and Christmas sees several colorful festivities.
For accommodations, Agios Gordios is home to a major attraction known as the Pink Palace, ideal for backpackers. Here there are weekly toga parties to be enjoyed, internet access, a Jacuzzi, inner-tubing, cliff-diving, bungy jumping, jet skiing, parasailing, basketball and volleyball.
