The nearby village of Obrochishte has an impeccably preserved fortress dating back to Ottoman times. Kanevo has remains of the ancient fortress used in Roman times and the Middle Ages. Albena’s Multi-Function Sports Hall is a magnificent sight with over 7 soccer fields, an artificial grass field, horse riding club, several tennis courts, swimming-pools and a large variety of water sports facilities.

A safari tour through the Batavo Forest will reveal Albena’s stunning physical assets. Adventurous yacht tours are available to the surrounding coastal areas in the region. Several opera performances are held in the town and the Bulgarian Fiesta features an entertaining folklore program. Bulgarian wine tasting events are also held regularly. Albena Variety Theater is the venue for many lively local and international events.
