Verbania is a city and commune on the shore of Lake Maggiore, Piedmont in northwest Italy. Verbania is a little village but is grouped with Intra and Pallanza and is jointly known as Verbania. This city is rich in early Roman history and architecture with some of the most exquisite being the Basilica of San Vittore, built on the site of an ancient church; and the nearby port which still retains a lot of its old charm whose entrance is guarded by a tall light with a spiral staircase.
